If no significant benefit is obtained by hearing aid further, child should be subjected to cochlear implant evaluation. Aided Audiogram, radiological study and therapists feedback helps team to consider the child for cochlear implant. Cochlear implant has really changed the world of children with hearing impairment. Digital Hearing Aids A digital hearing aid is a hearing device that receives sound and digitally codes (breaks sound waves up into very small, discrete units) before it gets amplified. A traditional analog hearing aid simply makes the sound wave larger to amplify sounds. Digital Hearing Devices have really rewritten the history in Hearing aid industry. Digital Aids are available in behind the ear, In the canal, completely in the canal forms. An analog hearing aids can only amplify incoming sound, and cannot adjust it, analog hearing aids very often amplify distracting background noise, making it challenging to hear in noisy environments and nearly impossible to understand conversation over the phone. We promote only Digital hearing aids in our clinic.

Speech therapy focuses on voice and speech-language skills, while hearing therapy deals with hearing and hearing impairment. Speech or language disorders may be present at birth or acquired later in life by disease, illness, head injury, substance abuse or allergy. Hearing loss may be acquired before or during birth if a pregnant woman takes certain drugs or contracts a viral disease such as rubella.
