HYPERACUSIS: Hyperacusis is a hearing disorder characterized by an increased sensitivity to certain frequencies and volume ranges of sound. In such condition patients can hear at 10dB sound but can not tolerate 70-80dB sound. dynamic range for hearing is decreased.
